Before: a woman with long brown hair, cropped from the original image and enlarged the ordinary way, with soft, blurred eyelashes, lips and hairBefore
After: the same area of the face cropped from the upscaled image, with sharper eyelashes, irises, lips and hairUpscaled
We cropped the same area of the face from both files and enlarged the crops to the same size so they can be compared. Left: from the original image, 768 × 1,376 pixels, enlarged the ordinary way. Right: from the upscaled image, 2,286 × 4,096 pixels. The eyelashes, irises, lips and hair that were already in the original come out sharper on the right.

A product photo that looks sharp on a phone can turn out too small once a buyer zooms in on the fabric, or once you print it for a shop sign — and some photos cannot be reshot because the item has already sold. Upscale is for that moment. It takes one image and returns the same image at a larger size, without edges and lines breaking up into steps.

Plien Roob was built by someone who spent 10 years as a model and ran a rental photo studio, so we put this the way people behind the camera would: upscaling makes the image you have bigger, but it cannot bring back detail the camera never captured. This page says plainly which photos it suits and which it does not.

UPSCALE

฿2.09–฿3.50

1 credit per image depending on your plan, ready in about half a minute

Reference prices come from a page anyone can open on Fastwork, checked on 17 September 2026 — prices from listings we found, not a market average. It is the category's starting price, and how many images a job includes depends on the freelancer. Our per-image price is calculated from real plan prices, from Premium yearly up to the smallest credit top-up.

Up to four times larger on each side

An image 1,024 pixels on its long edge comes back at 4,096 pixels: four times larger in both width and height. The result tops out at 4,096 pixels on the long edge, so an image longer than 1,024 pixels grows by less than four times. A 768 × 1,376 pixel image, for example, comes back at 2,286 × 4,096 pixels.

When to use it

Older photos that are sharp but small, and cannot be reshot

Standard 1K results you want as a larger file before printing a sign or poster

Photos buyers will zoom into, such as the main image on a product page

Not a single word to type

  1. Choose the image: upload a new one, or pick anything in your library, including results from other tools

  2. Check the credit count on the button, then upscale

  3. Zoom in to check the result, then download it

Standard 1K results from the studio's image tools can be sent to Upscale in one tap (2K, 4K and Virtual Try-On results are larger than Upscale accepts), with no downloading and re-uploading, and an upscaled image can go on to Remove Background the same way.

Studio tips for photos ready to sell

White floral lace laid on a black background, with a fine net between the flowers and an eyelash-fringed edge along the bottom
Illustration: lace with floral motifs and a net this fine is exactly the kind of detail not to send through Upscale.
Upscaling does not add detail that was never in the source. When we zoomed in on an upscaled photo of a lace dress, the lace pattern had been erased and replaced with a smooth raised texture, which is worse than the original. Lace, knits and fine embroidery should not go through the upscaler. If you need genuinely sharp fabric detail, generate a new image at Premium in Product to Model instead of upscaling an old one.
  1. Best for photos that are already sharp but too small, and for images without complex detail, such as plain-coloured garments and clean product shots

  2. Not suited to lace, knitted patterns or fine embroidery

  3. A blurred photo is still blurred after upscaling. Use the original file, not a photo sent through a chat app or a screenshot

  4. Upscaling removes nothing: backgrounds, hangers and creases all stay, just larger. To cut the background away, use Remove Background

  5. Sending the photo on to Product to Model? Don't upscale it first. To get lettering on the garment right, crop so the garment fills the frame instead — that works better than a larger file

  6. An image that has already been upscaled once can almost never be upscaled again. The input limit is 2048x2048 pixels, which is smaller than nearly every upscaled result — and an upscaled image is already large enough for print.

Frequently asked questions

Will upscaling make a blurry photo sharp?

No. Detail the camera never recorded cannot be brought back by any tool, including our upscaler. Upscale suits photos that are already sharp but too small. To check yours, zoom the photo to full screen and look at a seam or lettering on the product: if you cannot read it with your own eyes, you will not be able to read it after upscaling either.

Can I upscale a photo of a lace dress?

We don't recommend it. The upscaler erases the lace pattern and replaces it with a smooth raised texture, which is worse than the original, and knits and fine embroidery are not suited either. For sharp fabric detail, generate a new image at Premium in Product to Model.

Can I upscale it again to make it even bigger?

Almost never. The tool accepts images up to 2048x2048 pixels, and nearly every image that has already been upscaled is larger than that. The size is checked before any credit is taken, so you don't lose credits on an image that cannot go through again — and an upscaled image is already large enough for print.

How many credits does upscaling cost, and how long does it take?

1 credit per image, about ฿2.09–฿3.50 depending on your plan. On real jobs, half finish within about 24 seconds and nine in ten within 28 seconds. If a job fails, the credits come back automatically.

Can I enlarge a photo and make it sharper for free?

You can try it free, but the amount is limited. Signing up gives you 10 credits, once, with no card needed — enough to upscale 10 images. Your first free-plan image has no watermark; the images after it do. Once the credits are used, each image costs 1 credit. This is not an unlimited free upscaler.

Can AI enlarge a photo without it breaking up, and what kind of photo works?

It works well on photos that are already sharp but too small, such as a product photo shot small or one shrunk by a chat app. A photo that was blurry when taken stays blurry after upscaling — see the first question above. The tool accepts images up to 2048x2048 pixels.
